Serhiy (Serj) Kiyasov is an Attorney-at-Law at Rock Trade Law LLC. Serj concentrates his practice on assisting clients with various matters involving international trade law and U.S. Customs import and export compliance. Serj provides assistance with advising clients on valuation and classification of various imported products, application of various free trade agreements, scope of AD/CVD orders, dutiability of royalty payments, manifest confidentiality requests, and restricted party screenings.

Serj attended DePaul University College of Law at Chicago, IL. While at DePaul, he was a Co-President of the Business Law Society and received a CALI Excellence for The Future Award in the study of U.S. Customs and International Trade Law.

Serj also attended Roosevelt University at Chicago, IL where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Paralegal Studies and a Minor in Legal Studies (With Honors). While at Roosevelt, Serj was a Vice President of the Pre-Law Society and a captain of the Men’s Tennis Team. Also, while at Roosevelt, he was selected for the Dean’s Honor List for three consecutive years, received Presidential Scholarship, and was recognized as Daktronics-NAIA Men’s Tennis Scholar-Athlete.

Serj has a diverse legal experience, including clerking at the Circuit Court of Cook County at Chicago, IL, as well as clerking at a prominent commercial litigation and transactional law firms at Chicago, IL. Serj was born and raised in Lviv, Ukraine and is a native Ukrainian and Russian speaker. Serj’s language skills make it possible to communicate with clients from various countries and resolve complex matters.
